MORE ABOUT THE ARTIST

Art has always been a part of my life.  My early training as a teenager in watercolor, in Kansas, was with prominent artists and watercolorists in the Wichita area.  I received a Bachelor of Art Education (Magna Cum Laude) from Wichita State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Michigan State University. I then worked for many years in management, including work in Washington D.C. , with a telecommunications corporation.  After retiring and returning to Arkansas, I became involved in Mid-Southern Watercolorists (“MSW”).  MSW afforded me opportunities to more seriously pursue my creativity and interest in watercolor.  I currently serve on the Board of MSW as one of its Past Presidents.  You will find my work in exhibitions and sales venues primarily in  central Arkansas, including Small Works on Paper and the many exhibitions associated with MSW in the Arkansas Arts Center, Historic Arkansas Museum and the Butler Center.  I am also included in  the Artists Book of Arkansas Artists, entitled “A Gathering of Artists” and the Arkansas Arts Council Registry of Artists.
